Mme. Elizabeth Roper is an international ballet teacher of the classical Russian style. She has produced first place winners at dance competitions in British Columbia, Canada, Washington, California and Arizona. She is the daughter of world famous dancer & instructor, June Roper (known as "Star Maker"). Raised in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, she studied classical Russian ballet in both Canada and the United States with such notables as Ernest Belcher, Mme. Lydia Karpova, Nicolai Svetlanov, Natasha Sobinova, Michael Panieff, Stefan Wenta, Gene Marinaccio and George Zoritch, as well as, modern jazz with Roland Dupree, flamenco with Rita Lupino and Ladisla Pinhiero, and character with Stephan Wenta. She began teaching professionally at age 13 for the Paulford Dance Academy in Vancouver. She then moved on to become a soloist with the George Zoritch Ballet Company in Los Angeles, California. She founded dance schools in Santa Cruz and Vancouver. She prides herself in being able to teach many different types of athletes, body types, ages and skill levels. She has plenty of experience teaching ballroom dancers in Phoenix and Tucson, including Decho Kraev & Bree Watson-Kraev, first place National Latin Dance Champions 2011 and 2012, and Robert Powers & Julia Gorchekova-Powers, 12-year concurrent National Latin Dance Champions and three-time World Champions. In 2004, she produced Beginning & Intermediate Ballet Strength & Stretch videos (sold publicly). She strongly believes that anyone can improve their flexibility, agility, strength, endurance and form through the art of ballet training.
